Product Training and Certification

Overview
To provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of Interceptor technology, operation, optimization and alarm management. The course is comprised of classroom lecture as well as hands-on instruction regarding the installation and use of the Interceptor in both active and dark fiber applications. Upon successful completion, students will receive a certificate proclaiming “Interceptor Certified.”

Duration
The course duration is one day. This training is designed to be interactive and personalized; the goal is that the attendees leave with complete competence in the use of Interceptor. Thus the actual duration will depend on the degree of student participation.

Part 1 Theory & Application Introduction Network Integrity Systems (NIS) Overview NIS Points of Contact Interceptor Basics Versions Features Applications Ancillary Hardware Selecting an Interceptor How to select the Interceptor version which will provide the optimum level of protection and cost effectiveness for a specific application Creative application of Interceptor into various network configurations

Part 2 Installation and Physical Connections Initial Setup Communications and Time Network, System and User Network Time Server, Software Upgrades and System Reset Alarm Management Monitoring Channels Auto-Configuration Optimizing Interceptor’s ability to learn the network’s physical signature to discern benign environmental effects from events of concern Alarm Management and Reporting, Events Logging Demonstration of alarms and discussion of user responses Optimizing Monitoring

Class size is limited to 12 registrants.

Please provide two weeks notice prior to the requested training date.

$100 charge to cover books and materials due upon confirmation. Attendees need not bring any special equipment.

Attendees are responsible for their own travel arrangements and expenses.
