React Developer
Role Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled React Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining dynamic and interactive user interfaces using React.js and React Native. You will collaborate closely with NIS developers, engineers, and other team members to deliver high-quality, user-friendly web and mobile applications to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new user-facing features using React.js, React Native, and HTMX.
- Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
- Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
- Optimize components for maximum performance across various devices and browsers.
- Collaborate with designers to refine the user experience.
- Integrate with backend APIs and services.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues.
- Assist with maintaining associated documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in React.js development.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
- Proven experience with React.js and its core principles.
- Experience in the following React Native for mobile application development areas:
- Understanding of mobile platform specifics (iOS and Android), including UI/UX guidelines and navigation patterns.
- Familiarity with native build tools like Xcode (iOS) and Gradle/Android Studio (Android).
- Experience with mobile-specific APIs and functionalities (e.g., push notifications, camera, location services).
- Techniques to optimize mobile application performance and memory usage.
- Experience integrating and debugging third-party libraries within React Native projects.
- Knowledge of the mobile app store deployment process.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript language, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with Jest and other testing frameworks like Enzyme.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Solid understanding of responsive design principles.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
- Must be able to obtain a government security clearance which is only available to US Citizens.

- Optional: Haskell Language experience is a bonus.
- Optional: Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) or static site generation (SSG).

Field Services Engineer
As a Field Services Engineer at Network Integrity Systems (NIS), you will be responsible for deploying and supporting our fiber optic sensing solutions for cybersecurity and physical security. You’ll provide global on-site installation and remote technical support to both U.S. Government and Military clients, as well as private enterprise customers.
Your role will involve conducting site surveys, supporting project design, deploying solutions in the field, providing on-site training, and assisting customers with troubleshooting and repairs. Additionally, you will collaborate with the sales team to resolve technical issues, strengthen customer relationships, and identify new product opportunities to address evolving market demands.
This position is essential in maintaining our reputation for excellence in technical support, customer service, and innovation.
Role Description:
Technical Expertise & On-Site Support
- Lead fiber optic sensor installations, including splicing, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Operate and master fiber optic sensing equipment and alarm management software.
- Provide on-site installation, training, and technical support.
- Conduct site surveys and assist with project design and deployment.
- Perform field failure investigations and supervise installation teams.
Customer Training & Documentation
- Deliver hands-on training at customer sites.
- Assist in developing and improving installation and training documentation.
- Support the creation of application notes, manuals, and instructional videos.
Product Development & Collaboration
- Provide feedback on product installation and performance to aid new product development.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing, product managers, engineers, and customer service teams.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
- Identify and communicate sustainability and safety requirements from clients.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
- 5+ years of experience in fiber optic cable installation, splicing, troubleshooting, and telecommunications.
- Must be a United States citizen and reside in the United States.
- Experience/understanding of layer-1 fiber optic network infrastructure components and topology
- Expertise in fiber optic connectivity products and OTDR troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to train end-users effectively.
- Ability to work independently, manage projects, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills and high integrity due to exposure to sensitive information.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Dedicated work ethic with a commitment to customer satisfaction, product quality, and project deadlines
- Willingness to travel 50%+, including globally, and work in extreme outdoor environments as needed.
You Will Excite Us If You:
- Are local to or in close proximity of Hickory, North Carolina (NIS Headquarters and R&D Facility)
- Have strong technical writing skills with the ability to present concepts clearly.
- Possess knowledge of construction and project planning procedures.
- Have experience in telecommunications.
- Have experience in Government and Military facilities and/or Hyperscale Data Centers
- Have prior supervisory or functional management experience or training.
- Hold an active U.S. government security clearance (preferred but not required)
