Network Integrity Systems Participates In TIA New Office Showcase and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: A High Tech Space Which Will Serve as a Center for Industry Collaboration and Information-Sharing

ARLINGTON, VA (March 7, 2013) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, has taken a new home in Arlington, Virginia. This week, an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the new TIA headquarters to celebrate the move. The new TIA site includes a technology laboratory which incorporates innovative, best-of-breed communications products and solutions. Representatives of the companies responsible for the products featured in the lab were invited to participate in the ribbon cutting, which included Network Integrity Systems (NIS).

The new TIA office was constructed with the goal of providing a high-tech center for information sharing and collaboration for the information and communications technology (ICT) industry. The facility is equipped with the latest communications technology developed by TIA members and a variety of innovative ‘green’ features. The site was also outfitted with significant meeting space to enable TIA members to gather and collaborate on standards development, public policy, and other organizational activities. With a strong emphasis on Passive Optical Networking (PON) technology, industry leaders including Tellabs, CommScope, and TE Connectivity provided their latest solutions to the technology lab, which were also showcased at the ceremony. NIS was asked to provide the INTERCEPTOR™ Optical Network Security System and the VANGUARD™ Fiber Optic Network Monitoring System for the laboratory, representing two state-of-the-art network infrastructure security solutions that protect communication networks (including PON) in the US Government (Interceptor) and private enterprise (Vanguard).

GlobalCom of Virginia, a TIA member and a long-time Interceptor Certified™ partner company, installed the NIS technologies in the lab. Joe Giovannini, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of NIS participated in the ribbon cutting along with representatives from the other featured companies. Mr. Giovannini said afterwards "We were proud that our products were selected to be featured at this impressive and important facility, in the company of these communications industry leaders. It is reflective of the heightened focus on the evolving cyber security threats that our communication systems face today. We are proud that the TIA recognizes the Interceptor and Vanguard as a critical layer of security for a segment of the network that until recently was not an area of concern."
